Bekki is a music teacher, songleader, and songwriter based in Philadelphia. She holds a Master of Arts in Music Education from Columbia University Teachers College, as well as a professional teaching license for PK-12 music. Bekki teaches general music, choir, and modern band at a public elementary school, and she also designs and leads music classes for toddlers and their caregivers. She songleads for holiday programs and life cycle events, and specializes in collaborating with organizational leaders, congregants and families to curate thoughtful musical selections for services and other programs.

In 2024, Bekki and her husband, composer/producer/educator Noah Teachey, began writing and performing together as the music-for-families project The Blumbellies. As The Blumbellies, Bekki and Noah take a playful and participatory approach to family music, and have so far released three EPs - the latest is On the Flipside, a small collection of summery sing-along songs for the whole family.
